The Crain No. 973 Rolling Hand Groover is equipped with precision guide wheels that track in the seam to cut a groove for heat welding. Start by using the front blade to groove the seam, then switch to the rear blade for close-to-wall precision. For shaping curves and circles, the clip-on foot plate lets the back end slide smoothly. The tool features an adjustable blade depth and a handle that pivots open for easy cleaning of cuttings. All adjustments are made with the included 1/8″ hex key, which stores on the tool. It accommodates standard blades and includes two No. 974 4mm blades, plus a protective bag.
